So far I've gained back EVERY pound I've lost plus 4...yay me. I have no idea where my motivation went....oh ya, it hits REALLY hard at 10 am (right in the middle of the work day) and then totally disappears until the next day. Excuse me boss man can I take my lunch break at 10 so I can get my workout on please?!..........No? Ok....
I've been literally addicted to reading a ton of really inspirational weight loss blogs lately.
Megan at Skinny Meg has lost over 100 lbs and is a workout BEAST! Amber at Crafty Healthy Mommy just celebrated her 2 weight-lossiversary with 100 lbs lost and is working towards losing the last few lbs to literally be half the weight she was. Brandi at Mama Laughlin has lost 60 lbs and just spent the last 6 months weight lifting and toned up so much she weighs the same and went from a size 10 to a size 6. Amy at The Diary of a Fat Mommy has literally shrunk before my eyes since MARCH!! I get all pumped when I'm reading them and think to myself "these women lost A TON of weight just by diet and exercise, I can too!"..but then I don't ever get off my lazy butt to do it. I can't make myself get out of bed in the morning to go, or make myself get off the couch at night! I literally only feel the want in the middle of the freakin work day! Yes, work day....as in if it's the weekend: DON'T THINK SO JACK!
Mom finally made me go wedding dress shopping in May. She said if we didn't get a move on I'd be wearing a burlap sack down the isle. Which was probably true...would fit better too haha.
So we found THE dress with the second one I tried on. Ordered it and was in and out in under an hour. Apparently I shop for wedding dresses like I shop for clothes, in and out as quickly as possible. And since this wonderful body of mine is so awesomely shaped, I had to guess what size to order!
My boobs were a size 10, waist was a size 8 (can a get a whoop whoop!), and my booty a big ole size 12!
So we went with the middle number a got a size 10. So I started doing really well with picking back up with the diet and exercise so my big butt would fit in my dress. I started the Ease into 5k app again (I like that one much better than c25k). I was doing awesome the first two weeks. I even did an outside run one day and had a faster mileage split than I did on the treadmill. But then came week 3. AWFUL shin splints, horrible hip pain, and some pretty bad knee pain. But I kept trucking. I finished the first 3 min run..barely, started on the 2nd run of the series and BAM ate it right there in the middle of the road in front of all the people driving by. But I wasn't gonna let that stop me even though I landed on my hip (which was now throbbing) and scraped up the palm of my hand so that it was bleeding and had chunky skin coming off. I got up finished the walk part it was on and took off running for the 2nd 3 min run....BAD IDEA. My shins and hips were in so much pain I couldn't keep running if someone had been chasing me! So that was the last time I ran or worked out...almost 2 weeks ago.
I've been slacking on my calorie counting, working out, and just all around trying to be healthy again. The only thing I've been decently successful at is drinking half my body weight (in ounces) in water most days. I know what to do, I guess I'm just still to lazy to do it. And that really sucks!
I just need to find that WANT so that I will MAKE myself get to the gym and count my calories and fit in to that damn wedding dress!!!
But most importantly:
When you make up your mind it will be easy, Chelsi. You shouldn't do things that cause you the potential for injury, though. Don't be afraid to go back to what you know works...you have access to the pool now, and it will not tear you up. Try that, along with drylands. That's what your body knows, and it's memory will remember the shape you were in, too! LuvU, ChelsiBelle, no matter what your size/shape!
